Old fashioned
Old fashioned
According to the first description of a ‘cocktail’, it is made of spirit, sugar and bitters. In this sense, the Old Fashioned is THE cocktail par excellence. The bartender of the Pendennis Club in Louisville, Kentucky, is sometimes credited with its invention. We now know that it is false, but we’re no closer to discovering its true origin. Often made with bourbon, this great classic works particularly well with cognac. Since the main ingredient of Old Fashioned is the base spirit, it is recommended to use an older cognac.
