Georgia Mint Julep
Georgia Mint Julep
Juleps were medicinal concoctions initially, and very popular in the 16th and 17th centuries. In the 19th century, they transitioned and became purely recreational drinks. The historical spirit is cognac, even though it was replaced by bourbon following the phylloxera crisis. The addition of Crème de Pêche (peach liqueur) turns this drink into something more fruity and more pleasant.
