Brandy Crusta
Brandy Crusta
Created in the 1850s in New Orleans, the Brandy Crusta is one of the most venerable mixed drinks. It also appears in Jerry Thomas's book "How to Mix Drinks or the Bon Vivant’s Companion". This is the direct ancestor of the Sidecar and the Margarita, with a virtually unchanged formula built around spirit, triple sec and citrus. Drier than a sidecar, it will delight cocktail history enthusiasts.
