Drinks International 2018: Merlet in the top 10’s
We are starting the year off with great news for Merlet brand as it is featured in Drinks International’s annual report which lists the best brands of the year selected by the 50 best bars in the world:
-Merlet ranks 8th in the top 10 of Cognacs best selling brands.
-10th in the top 10 of liqueurs best selling brands.

Sidecar by Merlet 2017: USA Final
On the 26th of July, the Sidecar by Merlet USA final took place at the Rusted Mule in San Francisco. Mickael Jones from The Consulate in Atlanta won the competition. Scores were tight but he seduced the juges (Mary Palac – 2016’s USA winner, Christina Henderson – owner of the Rusted Mule, Camper English – spirits writer and Luc Merlet – marketing and sales director at Merlet) with his two creation: the “Petit à Petit” and the “Konpa cocktail”.
He competed with Iliia Kramarenko from “Death & Company” in New York, Kathleen Hawkins from “Wright and Company” in Detroit, Seamus Caffrey from “Junior’s” in North Greenbush, Oz Serafin from the “Rusted Mule” in San Francisco, Kyle Merritt Kaylor from “Bside” in Sacramento and finaly Anna Westby from “the Double Standard” in Oakland.
They had to produce the same cocktails that they made for their local final: a sidecar twist, a free creation and a cognac classic choosen at random the same day.
Congratulations to the winner, he will be flying to cognac next year to visit the distillery.
